Sharon Brothers is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Professional Care Education, the company behind the Leaders in Home Care website. Sharon has been in the field of caregiving since the early 1980s, working with clients, families and caregivers in a wide range of care settings. Sharon’s passion for education and her conviction, based on her professional and personal experience, that training makes all the difference in the quality of care, led her to start IPCed in 2003. Sharon believes that helping consumers find organizations that value and invest in the training of their caregivers is an important tool to helping families find the best care possible for their loves ones.
Chris brings more than 25 years of experience leading training and education businesses to the team at IPCed. He is an expert in compliance programs and certification training including online delivery, instructor led classes and blended training. Chris has a passion for quality training and the positive results it can yield.
Sales & Marketing Manager
Chris Chong has over thirteen years' experience driving growth and revenue through digital and cross-channel direct response marketing. Prior to joining the Institute for Professional Care Education Chris worked with entrepreneurs and investors to build and launch web-based businesses. He is an expert at helping organizations use technology to attract new customers and streamline operations.
Lead Nurse Instructor
Cynthia ensures that IPCed's training programs represent best practices in care today. She has an extensive background in clinical care systems, regulatory compliance, program development, and nurse training. Cynthia previously worked as Director of Clinical Operations at Regency Pacific Management, Assistant Professor at Oregon Health and Science University School of Nursing, and as a Nurse Consultant for the State of Oregon’s Senior and Disabled Services Division. Cynthia earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from Gonzaga University.
Regulations & Compliance Manager
Erika Sessions manages all regulatory, compliance, and accreditation processes; ensuring that programs meet the needs of senior care providers throughout the United States and Canada. Erika has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver, has an eye for detail, and enjoys working with customers in a compliance consulting role as needed.
Director of Course Development
Sara leads the course development team in building online training courses that motivate, inspire and build the competency of caregivers everywhere. Sara's skills in design and communication, along with her 6 years of experience with online course development give her a great foundation for leading this team. Sara is a graduate from Portland State University with a BS in Marketing and Advertising Management.
